Growing up we didn't frequent North Carolina much as a final destination. We would travel through it often on our way to see family in DC, Philly, or New York. In my 20's my friends and I would head to the Mountains and Asheville on weekends but thats about it.

We went to the NC mountains (or TN) more than the GA mountains.
I do remember the Falcons going to the Super Bowl in the late 90s (I was in middle school) and being really excited for that. As an Aikenite, we did identify more with GA than NC in many ways. Never really paid much attention to the Panthers, we always rooted for the Falcons. When it comes to college ball however, my family is bleeds garnet and black
South Carolina probably pulled for the Atlanta Falcons before the Carolina Panthers, while the majority of North Carolina probably went for the Redskins (Charlotte and Western NC could have possibly went for Atlanta, not so much for the rest of the state). Both are Atlanta Braves country, though.

My family and I visit all the time. We have family there, but theres plenty to do in NC. Plus Panthers games. I feel NCers and SCers visitin each other is mutual, I see lots of NC tags down here regularly.

I go as much as possible. My cousins live in Manteo, NC Outer Banks. I love the Outer Banks. And, I like Wilmington. Also, I like to travel up to Tidewater, Va. so I always go through NC.
