Just a reminder that sales Tax Free Weekend in SC is this weekend, August 6-8. No not everything is sales tax free, so dont go out and buy a lawnmower or 4K tv just because. But many clothes, school supplies, electronics, shoes, and bed and bath are eligible. Apparently online shopping counts as well.

I have found many of these retailers have better sale events and prices before and after these tax free events. I guess they think people will run out and buy because of no sales tax.

I guess it's good though for school supplies from places like Walmart and Target if you know what you will need. I know some districts are already well underway like Greenwood started back July 22.

It makes a difference, if you go to the right stores. Go to Gaffney, you'll find good deals at the outlets. Or just go to Walmart and get a Clemson shirt. And from what I've seen its not the "jack up the price, then add huge % discount" tactic that retailers like to do.

The problem is people confused tax free with being for everything. It's not, but, you dont have to have school children to take advantage. Anyways just a shoutout for anybody looking/needing some new clothes or shoes or bedding.
