since may 15 i have been hiking/camping in black hills and near fort collins,co. only bad part....rain...rain...rain...lots of high winds. my tent is holding up good. left spearfish may 15, went to fort collins,co to horsetooth lake camp to see about the diamonds in lower wy and upper co. but contact said too much snow at time to hunt. 12 page pdf file on this . search placer diamonds in wy goes thru univ wy web but not same web add. ive met people who have found some ...some loose some in rock... type in buyers of rough diamonds and come up with name ken glasser in las vegas,nv. from ft collins, i went to rapid city couple nites, then to spokane creek campground near keystone. found a beautiful fist size rose quartz. (my small fist) then to chris campground in spearfish,sd then to deadwood to "days of 76" campground, then start mikelson hiking trail. stayed 2 nites whitetail court motel/rv/tents nice stream by tent. then back on trail . one nite just off trail. then on toward rochford. shoulder soft tissue tore when i was putting on rain poncho. 3rd time tearing. rt shoulder also has torn 3 times.i dont like therapy so will use gentle range of motion exercise (i am not so rough on myself) and it will heal soon.) i got ride back to whitetail court at lead (pronounced leed) and probably will head to spearfish this week to go to cheyenne by bus. while here in lead ive been to museums and saw homestake mine outside part.. also museums in deadwood. too much noise there ,deadwood, and lots of casinos in deadwood.not able to handle the noise. anyway i am having a great summer. also ive met some great people along the way. would have to write a book. but having too much fun. however, im taking lots of pics on my new digital camera which i am struggling to learn to use. have a nice summer.
