One of the options for my troop as a service project is to donate boxes of cookies, either purchased out of troop funds or by the public (instead of receiving the cookies, the purchaser donates them). I was wondering if anyone in west river knows of a place we could donate them? I was looking for a group that might send care packages to veterans or to troops stationed overseas, but I don't know where to start. Also up for consideration are retirement homes, children's homes, the reservations (any ideas who to contact there?), food pantries. I just don't know any specifics, since we are still so new here!
