I'm watching. I hope the landing is successful. The mission is an attempt to find signs of past microbial life at the site of an ancient Martian river, delta and lakebed.

It takes a little under 7 months to get there every 2 years when Mars and Earth are closest, using current rocket technology.

This is so amazing. The technology and science has evolved so much since the first Rover. There should be some exciting finds. Congratulations to the NASA team.

Nice! Bunch of steely-eyed missile men & women.

Aerobrake, parachute, skycrane, soft landing with intelligently picked spot? Nobody - absolutely nobody - but NASA/JPL can do that. I know I give America a bit of a hard time at times, but that right there: Finest minds of a great country doing their thing.
