Services for disabled children in SC...your thoughts, please (autism, insurance, old)

We moved from NJ (excellent services) to SC, where I am dismayed at the lack of services for my daughter, who has autism.
Is anyone else frustrated by the lack of help SC offers? I'd like to hear your feedback and if you had any luck in getting respite care vouchers (which I received in NJ) or other services.
People like the low taxes in SC but what they don't understand is taxes PAY for these much-needed services!

We had an awful experience in SC for 3 years with our 9 year old son who has autism. The lack of education, experience, knowledge, and services fails these children greatly. We moved right back to New England to provide a safe area with great services. All states are under budget cuts, ours as well, but our state still provides the necessary services.
