We are looking at possible relocating to the Spokane area for my husband's job. We have 3 teenage children 2 in high school and 1 in middle school. Looking for any great info on schools in Spokane and surrounding areas? Also, looking for info on areas to look at for housing? We will probably rent at first. Thanks

If you haven't relocated yet, Spokane County--not the city--is always going to be the better option, to me. It all depends on what you're looking for, what your husband does and doesn't need for work, and what you do and don't want for your teens. There are some really well-rated school districts NOT in Spokane or Spokane Valley. There's pretty much something for everyone, depending on what you're looking for, in this county. If you haven't relocated yet, Spokane County--not the city--is always going to be the better option, to me. It will depend on what your kids like/want and what you are looking for as lifestyle.
We've lived in Medical Lake when the kids were younger (elementary school) and they had great time, running all day outside, playing in the woods, etc.
Now they are older and have other interests such as sports and clubs, so we moved closer to those and we live in Spokane Valley, Central Valley School District.
Not that you can't live outside of Spokane or the Valley and drive kids around to friends/practices, but I work and I prefer to spend my free time on other things.
