Why wouldnt they be? Look how many national news channels you have, at least five. Look how many national sporting news channels. Maybe one or two. No one has challenged ESPN. Some one should though.

I can't hate ESPN. They have been quite generous to us soccer fans. Although, I'd love to see NHL back on the network. The other sports they cover 24/7 (NBA, NFL, MLB, Poker) I have very little interest in. The little talk gossip shows (PTI, Sportsnation, Jim Rome) are quite goofy.
