I am playing golf with a couple of big name NBA stars this afternoon. On top of them being who they are, I hear they are both scratch players. I can play, but I am no scratch player. Also, I haven't got out much this summer because work has been real busy and I have 3 kids. On occasion, I have a day where everything just goes wrong, so I want to make sure today isn't one of those days. I was thinking, maybe I will go early and hit balls for an hour or two, but then I run the risk of tiring myself out for the game.

Any suggestions?
RELAX! and have a great time. Who knows perhaps these NBA players will have horrible games. If you get all nervous your game will show it. Have a blast!!
All good advice...except maybe the last one, lol. I think I am going to go hit some balls now. Then I will have plenty of time to relax before our 2:00 tee time.
Glad they didn't have to do CPR on you out there.....I once joined Beasley Reece, sportscaster and ex-Tampa Bay Buccaneer, on the first tee along w/ another boxing sportscaster. They were in town for the Golden Gloves (NBC). I was playing pretty good back then and had a lot of confidence in my game. Had a good time talking about my Bucs with Beasley who played for them several years earlier (along w/ the NYG).
I get a kick out of seeing tall NBA players hit golf balls. Once ran into the great San Antonio Spur George "The Iceman" Gervin out at the local driving range. He was a very good, imo.
