Which NBA favorite players will you choose for your 5 best positions?

Here is mine:

Point Guard = Michael Jordan

Shooting Guard = Julius Erving

Power Forward = Larry Bird (play both forward positions)

Small Forward = Magic Johnson (play both forward positions)

Center = Wilt Chamberlain

PG - Magic Johnson (MJ was never point and would be awful there)
SG - MJ
SF - Bird
PF - Karl Malone
C - Wilt Chamberlain (unstoppable, he would completely dominate the league even today)

This proves otherwise

During the 88-89 season he recorded a triple double in 10 of 11 games at PG.
He AVERAGED 33/11/11 during that 11 game stretch.
Over his entire career he only had 28 triple doubles and 10 of those were over an 11 game stretch in 88-89 where he played PG.

Jordan was VERY diverse and gifted and could have been one of the greatest PG of all time if that's what he wanted to do. He would have been fine at the 3 as well, although nowhere near as dominate as he was playing guard.

Doesn't really prove anything. MJ as MJ is known was bad at point. Here and there any great player can adjust.

So then your imagination trumps the times he actually played PG and was very good at it?

First you claimed "MJ never played point and he'd be awful there"

It isn't like it is a fiction "What would MJ had done as a PG"?

We don't have to wonder.

He DID play PG that season and put up great numbers.

How on earth does that equate to "MJ as MJ is known was bad at point"?

He didn't LIKE playing PG, but he certainly wasn't a bad PG by any stretch of the imagination.
