What do you think of Bolt's chances in Rio for the 100/200 meters?
He's been going through some hamstring issues for most of this year, but did win a race last week in London. The time wasn't fast by his standards, but I think he's saving himself for Rio.
I think he has a very good chance of winning both races barring injury.
He's already the greatest sprinter in history in my eyes, so his legacy won't be tarnished anyway. But if he does win both, that is absolutely unprecedented in the annals of Olympic sprinting. A 100/200 double for the third consecutive Olympics, mind boggling.
It probably won't happen, but after he retires from the sprints, as a grand finale to his career, I would to see him train for and demolish the 400 meter record.

Dunno that the 400 meter world record would be that easy for him, even if he changed his training regime for this, much longer endurance sprint.
He only just pipped Michael Johnson's 200 meter record after many attempts, and MJ's best event was the 400 - where he was virtually untouchable.
It's a shame we never saw these 2 compete against each other over 200 meters - the ultimate middle ground distance between them.
On the OP I think he'll win the 100 only this time around, and even that is not a sure thing, but we will have to wait and see.
America has been all about Phelps since 2008 while the rest of the world has been watching Bolt. Track+field and gymnastics will always be the forefront of the Olympics.

Big deal. The guy (Bolt) is genetically freakish -- he was born fast -- and runs 400 meters (100m, 200m, relay leg) every four years against very little competition. Phelps had to make himself into an athlete. He swims thousands of meters each year in hard training and competes against dozens of swimmers younger than he in multiple events employing multiple techniques.
Bolt is more spectacular -- but Phelps is one for the ages.

Bolt has real competition, but just like Phelps makes his competition look like local club sportsmen, he and Phelps are just that much better than everyone else at their respective sports.
Bolt is competing against the best sprinters in the world, at any given time that is tough.
It is yet to be seen if he can do the 100-200 double, and 4 x 100 relay again, so will have to wait and see.
Phelps has more versatility and durability for sure, but swimming does allow for this more than other sports.
Lol that nbc track and field reporter guy wanted to interview and talk to him so f'n bad.
