New tournaments for the new year have just started.
Included is a Poll for the mens draw.
Not trying to be sexist, but can only do 1 poll.
Looks like a wide open field in both the mens and the womens.

I don't think the men's is wide open. It's going to be Djokovic or Murray, with the always unpredictable Wawrinka in the background.

Baby Fed (aka Grigor Dimitrov) has got his AO campaign off to a flyer:

Dimitrov Claims 2017 Brisbane International Title | ATP World Tour | Tennis

In the meantime Djoker beat Murray in Doha.
Karolina Pliskova won the womens in Brisbane.

"Baby Fed" has been a baby for years. While the real Fed is near retirement, "Baby Fed" has definitely entered middle age, and not a baby anymore.

Most high ranking seeds sneaking through in the 1st round so far, bar 4th seed Simona Halep.
More 1st round matches today.

Who's the biggest surprise exit for the men so far?

It is definitely Novak Djokovic now.
Cilic losing was also a surprise, but he has not done well at the AO in recent years.
Kyrgios losing to an above average journeyman like Seppi also was unexpected, but Seppi did upset Federer a couple of years ago.

That must be an ego killer for Djokovic. First, losing his number 1 ranking, and now losing at the second round on his favorite grand slam of the year.

See nobody is a expert. Form is something that can stay for years then leave. Who knows maybe Murray will become the man to beat for a few years.
