Alex Honnold is first to scale Yosemite's El Capitan without a rope - CNN.com

"On Saturday, Honnold became the first person to free-solo climb the mountain known as El Capitan in Yosemite National Park.

"Free solo" is climber-speak for no ropes, no safety gear.

"I've never dreamt of anything bigger," Honnold said."

What an incredible feat. I always wonder if these people's fear genes have an on/off switch. Incredible.

pretty impressive, I suspect now that he doesn't have anything else to challenge him, he will become increasingly depressed in life and become a fat couch potato stuffing himself with HoHos and Twinkies..
