I’ve started this thread because I couldn’t find the appropriate one.
My 6-years-old son wants a kayak as a gift for his birthday (nothing else..). So, I have some questions for those who has kayak for kids:
Which one do you have and which pros and cons it has? Is it worth it to buy at all?
It is a very healthy activity for kids. you should be happy that your son is asking for an outdoor sports and not a tablet or video game. For your 6 year old son 7.5 feet kayak willl work good. Do not buy 6 feet as you will not be able to use it in coming two couple of years as your son grows up. There are many brands in the market. Look for it online. But do not buy the smallest as it goes off balance with the weight. Yes it is worth to buy it.
I have two kids and I'm also making a gift of kayaks, and they'll be happy to. These are the options I found on my own, and maybe they'll be good for you, too. https://outdoorsly.org/best-kayak-for-kids/
