Did anyone watch the 100m final??? First, I think it's amazing the 5 of the lanes were occupied by 2 Caribbean nations (Jamaica with 3 and Trinidad & Tobago with 2). Usain Bolt ... just amazing AND THE GUY LET UP AT THE END. He could have easily run a 9.5 if he would have run through the finishline. He's too tall to be this good of a 100m man. And he's a cocky S.O.B. too, but how can you argue as long as he's dominating like he is. I'll say though, his starts have been improving with each race and when he gets his start perfected, he'll go even faster. I can't wait to see this guy run the 200m. Walter Dix ran the race of his life for the bronze. He was a surprise, a very pleasant surprise.

It's really a shame about Tyson Gay. But that hamstring injury in the trials did him in. Those injuries take a long time to fully heal. I hope he has another games in him, he's a beatiful runner.

It was the 100m athletes are not supposed to have a gap the size bolt did over the others he was very quick but looked so easy for him and I reckon he could get a 9.55 if he takes the WR serious. 200m is Bolts main event it is what he likes the most so that should be fun to watch.

Last time I saw such an easy easy win in the 100m final was the year that Canadian guy won and was later stripped of his medal for doping. Not saying that's the case here but wow...he made it look easy. If that was totally legit then he's going to rewrite the history books time and time again.

Donovan Bailey right? I don't know Bolt has the height and seems to have the speed of someone smaller ... that's an incredible combination of height and speed. I hope he passes his drug tests.

That was Ben Johnson in '88. Jamaican-born, naturalized Canadian. WR time too (at 9.79). Donovan Bailey won clean (i.e. didn't fail dope test) in '96.

But 'Lightning' Bolt was simply...electrifying. The stadium went crazy. Even the Chinese hugged him (or got caught in-between). The 200m is as good as his. If he competes in 4x100m relay, he'll win that too. The fastest American runner is Dix, and he took bronze.

Just unbelievable. Grandstand all he wants. He deserves it.

Jamaica is shutting out USA in track. Their womens' 100m swept all the medals!

Default under wraps last furlong

The most amazing thing was that he won under wraps. What kind of time could he ran if he tried the last 15 meters?

If he doesn't full on run in the 200, I'll be ticked. He can take his "bolt" postures and kissing for the cameras and shove 'em.

Whenever a sprinter wins so easily you automatically suspect doping. But when you look at Bolt, you don't see that over muscular physique that the dopers have.

Bolt looks completely different from every other sprinter. He looks like an NBA power forward. If he had been born in the USA, would he be playing basketball instead of running track?
