She throws a hissy fit cause she is losing, smashed her racket against the ground and broke it, threatened to kill the line judge, and then didnt even finish her match.
do you watch professional baseball or football? soccer? this is normal. elite athletes like to win at all costs. this is what they get paid to do. this is their life. after playing 42343423 matches and winning 243434 times, she should be allowed one breakdown.
to be fair....she was penalized one point which caused her to lose the match...so she didn't quit. but, she acted like a stinking fool and never should have kept going after the judge. at least she had the decency to shake the hand of the other player after the whole thing too.
Seemed like a gracious loser to me. She couldn't have been more gracious to the winner. Seemed like she -- like most athletes do from time to time -- got very upset with the officiating.....even though I think she was wrong this time. It happens. Worth nothing more than the did-you-see??? factor.

It does not happen all the time. not like this. And it's a bit different when its a man doing it to a male referee then a female player doing it to a female ref
Watching her post match interview, she revealed herself as the trash that she is, even beyond that evidenced by her on-court behavior. Her speech is littered with "like" and "ya' know" etc. She's uneducated and low class. She just happens to play tennis well. My opinion of her, watching that interview, has dropped even further.
I don't normally follow tennis, but I did see the news coverage. She is an excellent tennis player and up until now, I think she was probably a good role model for young women. While I believe she got caught up in the moment, her behavior over the next few days will determine if she is still a role model. Young people need to understand appropriate behavior and the consequences that it brings. She should let them know that what she did was inappropriate and that they should not follow her lead. She did, however, shake hands with her opponent and her anger was directed at the judge with whom she vehemently disagreed. I don't believe that she threated to kill the judge. If she did, then she should be banned from tennis, IMHO.

Williams has always acted like a spoiled 6 yr old stamping her feet and screaming when she doesn't get what she wants.
Serena is a testiment to the poor child rearing of americans....the 'me' generation....no humility...no shame....no conscience....no thought for the consequence of their actions.
