Hi! I moved to Neosho from San Diego a couple of years ago when my dad got sick and my parents needed my help. I transferred to MSU, and commute on my school days. (I am a "non-traditional, returning student", meaning I'm not in my 20s
. Responsible adult.).
My family is now moving back to CA, but I have 1 year left to graduation. Since I've been out here, I've acquired 3 lovely kitties (adults). They are rescues, very clean, the largest is declawed (they were abandoned in our neighborhood and I've fallen in love with them). My parents' house is on a lot of land in rural southwest MO, so apparently people think we have the room and means to take care of all of their abandoned pets. They are wrong, but I've taken in 3, and my grandma has taken in 1.
I would like to find a place away from the city (Republic and the like), so that my kitties have room to play. I have been commuting almost 3 hours round-trip on school days, so even something 1/2 hr or so away is close in my view! I am looking for a guest house, cottage, studio, etc. up to $425-ish, preferably with a washer/dryer hookups, and A/C!
Can someone lead me in the direction of a good place to find listings other than student apartments in Springfield? I am keeping an eye on craigslist, but am thinking maybe there is a more well-known resource out here that I am unfamiliar with?
I am a graphic designer/animator, clean, responsible, and very busy. Also, I will have to take care of my grandma's rescue temporarily until they move back to CA, and then I will be taking him back to her.
