i was wondering if there is anyone out there who has this condition and lives in the area and if they could tell me how the weather there affects them. i'm in iowa now and the winters kill me. i understand you get some cold but is it tolerable? also, how is the humidity in the summertime? thank you all..

I can't personally provide advice, but St. John's Hospital in Springfield is affiliated with a few fibromyalgia support groups and those folks might be able to provide assistance if you don't get the answers you need here.

Support group for persons coping with Fibromyalgia. Meeting dates for 2005 are: January 6, February 3, March 3, April 7, May 5, June 2, July 7, August 4, September 1, October 6, November 3, and December 1.

Winters are hard here but probably not as bad as Iowa. I have always had a hard time in winter but now in my 50's it's getting to be too much. I think I'm going to have to move farther south soon. I'm in Springfield, MO area.
