Will be relocating in the next couple of years to St. Louis, what are the best areas of town. Also if anybody can recommend some good rehab blogs. I am interested in a gut rehab to buy later down the road. What is the city like now for gut rehabs since the housing market has changed. Are there any rehabbers out there that can share stories?

Since it sounds like you want to be in the City, I guess the "best" areas are the Central West End/DeBaliviere, Downtown, Soulard, and Tower Grove, but there are plenty of decent areas besides those where there are literally thousands of houses ripe for rehab. This isn't a technical blog, but it's one of my favorites and paints a good picture of what the rehab scene is like here:

The St. Louis Rehabbers club is a good resource

i'm confused- are you planning to buy now and rehab it; or are you saying you will be buying a rehab in a few years? No one can predict what will happen in which area in several years.
