Hey St. Louis residents,
I've never been to your city before, but will have an opportunity to explore it on June 9th. I am driving in from Birmingham on my way back home to Minneapolis and am staying near Grand Ave and St. Louis University. I'm a young adult male who's really into swing dancing and understand that you folks have quite the scene. What else is there to do while I'm in town? I don't need to leave until mid-afternoon the next day, so I'm thinking about checking out the beautiful views of the river, potentially from the Old Chain of Rocks bridge. Does anyone have any other ideas for stuff to do? Also am interested in cool coffee shops near where I am or restaurants that support a gluten-free diet.

I'd look at Riverfront Times, which has an excellent website and is the weekly alternative paper. Also Metromix. Sauce is an excellent monthly food magazine. For swing dancing, check out the Thaxton Speakeasy downtown, and the Casa Loma Ballroom in south city. Too many dining choices to count.

Cool coffee shops (some are cooler than others):

MoKaBe's
Shameless Grounds
Rise
Coffee Cartel
Northwest
Ventana

I don't know much about gluten free places, sorry

Try Frida's cafe for great gluten free food.
