Q, I'm 56 & had colon scoped in '07. at 47 yrs old. Bu don't have insurance to cover now. Wanted to use Glutamine supplements as their found to be a protective substance vs cancer. You agree?

You still need to get screened. It is unreasonable to expect any supplement to be 100% effective, especially when you talk about preventing cancer.
You can talk to your doctor about other options than colonoscopy. Just realize that the scope is the gold standard, and if any of the other methods are positive, you then need to be scoped anyway.
It has been recommended that one take calcium supplements to prevent colon cancer.
Those "screening" probes have been known to pierce the intestine and to cause death.
Complications can occur due to colonscopy but they are uncommon. Just taking calcium will not insure against getting colon cancer. Removing pre-cancerous polyps can indeed prevent invasive colon cancer.
