Yeah. That nodule on the index finger of my right hand, dad had on all his fingers, and he made a point of showing me once. He retired from the car business and opened a small engine repair shop, and I thought it was from working in that, but I think now it wasn't.

I have pain in my hips, knees, pretty much all my joints. Not my back, though, at least. Oh well.

My lungs also hurt. I smoked cigarettes for about 14 years when I was younger. About the stupidest thing I've ever done.

I often wonder where my joints would be today IF I had gotten on glucosamine and stayed with it daily for the last 20 some yrs. Maybe I wouldn't have gone thru the misery I've been thru in the last 10+ yrs. I first heard about Cosamin DS from a friend about 10 yrs ago, but knew about glucosamine in general before that. But never stayed with it, on and off etc.

That is the brand, and I get my best price from ebay, costs me about $20 for 5 weeks...this product has 1mg manganese and Vit C in it. I don't know what is best but I'm sticking with Cosamin for now. But I take more manganese and Vit C daily anyway.

When the ortho did knee xrays a couple months ago, and the knee looks like bone on bone, he said some kind of cushioning is developing...so I believe it's the Cosamin DS I've been taking. My knee has been thru the mill with the staph infection and the push to walk with the infection, doctors missed the infection for months.

So I have hope for more improvement.

Thanks, I find I live in hindsight at this point. For me years of OA and everything worse with hip replacement in 2010. If I had not done it, where would I be today...maybe better off. But I sure live in so much OA pain and certainly not willing to take hard core pain drugs.

The thought of going under the knife for knee replacement makes me ill. Surgery is dinosaur work, elective for sure, there are emergencies. I'm all in favor of Regenerative Medicine..which I have posted about in Alt Med.

It's odd that this product is vegetarian, not vegan. I wonder what's in it that they can't claim it to be vegan?

The supplement linked above by Kara is not vegan because it uses gelatin capsules.
