https://absorbine.com/products/muscl...-liniment-gel/

THis is for animals and HUMANS. I just got my first 12 oz bottle yesterday and what a find...from another friend in health testimony. Now I have 3 first go to topicals: Topricin, Ultra Tiger Balm, Absorbine.

And Amazon has well over 1000 reviews....I always go there first to check things out. Ebay had a lot too and I got mine there.

Nothing new about this. Its been a horse liniment since 1892! I'd suspect Tiger Balm started off as a sort of "updated" version of Absorbine. They're not essentially much different. One key active ingredient in both Tiger Balm and Absorbine is menthol, a counterirritant. So is capsaisin, another pain reliever used in other topicals. The menthol generates a cooling feeling and capsaicin generates a warming one, but the pain-relieving mechanism works pretty much the same...by creating a counterirritation they sort of "distract" sensory nerves temporarily. Of the three topicals you listed, Topracin uses a different mechanism. It doesn't contain counterirritants.

Moderator cut: deleted imflammatory remark

Topricin is a totally different mechanism, it contains 11 homeopathic solutions and enough around here poo poo homeopathy which has been around LONG before any of the other medicines in the world.

Vet Liniment Gel and DMSO work well together. We used to use that on horses.

Whatever works, and I combine a couple things too. I also found a nice Arnica cream with DMSO cream in a 16 oz jar. I've been using DMSO in various form for years.

They are now selling Volteran over the counter--an anti inflammatory and pain reliever. It mixed with over the counter lidocaine lotion works wonders for anything that hurts.

I don't find lidocaine lotion otc...what I read is prescription only. I use Aspercream too that contains 4% lidocaine and it's pretty good stuff. Nothing lasts or truly fixes, all bandaids. I guess that's all we can do is bandaid all the years of damage.
