I've had a bottle of glycine sitting around for a couple of years. I don't remember what it was supposed to help with, or how much to take.

Now there's marshmallow root next to it. Just got that recently, it's supposed to help with some kind of digestive issue, but I don't have a clue about dosage.

Any ideas?

And does anybody else buy stuff and forget why?

Ooh, maybe the glycine helps memory! Have to Google.

ETA after consulting kindly old Doc Google: Glycine IS good for memory, but I probably got it for insomnia.
Marshmallow root is good for digestion and inflammation, and other stuff I don't care about.

Hardly ever, especially stuff I bought to treat some health concern. If it been so long since I've used it I can't remember what the problem was, chances are its reached its expiration date anyway.

Glycine: Uses, Benefits, Side Effects, Dosage, Precautions
Search domain verywellhealth.comhttps://www.verywellhealth.com › glycine-overview-4583816
Glycine is an amino acid produced by the body that is important for building collagen, transmitting nerve impulses, and clearing toxins from the body.

(personally I just began taking glycine with NAC) What this means is that the power of glycine and NAC together not only positively impacts a number of the key drivers behind the aging process (such as oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, and inflammation) but it also contributes to positive changes and impacts in other areas of the body that also may decline as one gets older.

as for marshmallow root --- Marshmallow root has many uses and can help soothe irritated skin, accelerate wound healing, promote overall skin health, repair gut lining, and more. It has powerful antioxidant properties that can protect the body from damage caused by free radicals. Below we discuss the potential benefits of marshmallow root

May just add some to my daily routine

I've had wonderful luck with glycine for fibromyalgia. I never quite understand the explanations but it might have something to do with relaxing tight muscles.
There have been studies that show that it can be calming and maybe even help with sleep.
Could work differently on different people. I know with me it helps with muscle pain, maybe relaxation. Marshmallow--I don't have a clue.
