Anyone have a good place to buy them? Online it's hit or miss...about half actually work to charge. They wear out pretty quickly.

You pay about $30 for a $.99 cable if you do that. Kids are tough even on the standard Apple cords...they do wear out.

My first MacBook and iPhone chargers wore out very quickly. I realized that they're delicate and you have to use them gently. Once I started treating them more like XLR cables than power cords, I never had a problem.

I know...I have had the same one on my desk at work for some time....but kids being kds, they tend to stretch them across the room with it plugged in. Heck...I even keep my phone plugged in by my bed. When I wake up in the morning I grab it to shut off the alarm and sometimes pull the cord tightly. I have bad eyesight, and it's sometimes easier to just put the phone up to my face than to grab my glasses and be able to see what I'm doing.

You find color cheap, coded cables at CVS and Walgreens. They work fine.
