Thanks in advance. I am utterly confused about iPad battery life…what drains it and how long it should be plugged in, etc.

So should I, can I leave it plugged in all the time, or not?
I never use the iPad…OK MAYBE once every couple of months.

Since I bought it six months ago -- for the most part it's been plugged in and never moved, hardly used.
But a couple of people have said, "no you shouldn't leave it constantly plugged in..it drains the battery."
How the heck does leaving the thing plugged in drain the battery?

AND….IF I'm not going to leave it constantly plugged in -- but I never use it…..should I unplug it for a certain amount of time each day? how many hours? Keep it mostly Unplugged. Well then, how often do I plug it in and for how long??

OMG...for something you barely use... You are worrying way to much about it.
You use it MAYBE once every couple months... and you've owned it for 6? So you've used it what?!? 3 times?
If you SERIOUSLY use it that little, just leave it unplugged and plug it in when you use it.

Thanks. I'm not stressing. I just didn't know how long it takes for a fully charged battery to lose power -- if the device just sits UNplugged for months and months

I may only used it every few months, but when I go back to it, I want to to work.

For example, even if I don't use it if it's good to plug it -- one day a week -- to keep it fully juiced then I'd make sure to do that. But IF it can just sit unplugged and unused for MONTHS and still be good to go….then I'm find with that also.

Plugging it in regularly (weekly as you mentioned) is a good idea in your situation.

Thanks. That's easy. I've got the perfect routine to remember….I'll plug it in one or two days a week, on my days off…and unplug it when I go to work, and leave it unplugs for the week. Then when I'm off again…plug it in….etc., etc., etc.
