Up in NH we have Seacare & NH Healthy Kids. I know FL has healthy kids, but is there a low cost version in FL of what we have known as Seacare?

Basically if your families income is under a certain value, you qualify for heavily discounted or free health services. My wife and I use this program as our incomes fell within the bracket this year. Sometimes it is based on the region, sometimes the local hospital covers the bill.

However, since we need to move to the Tampa area, I didnt know if there was a program like this with the state, region, or even a hospital?

Thanks!

If you are wondering about the lack of replies its probably because Florida is a right wing state and all those programs you are asking about just rub a lot of Floridians the wrong way as they tend to represent socialist ways of thinking.

jambo101 your post isn't exactly helpful, and certainly isn't on-topic.

To the OP, I am not aware of low-cost coverage for adults -- I would contact the local Medicaid office about it as they might have some information for you about that. I do know that when I first moved here as a single mother I was making too much to qualify for Medicaid and I could not afford healthcare through my employer. I would go to clinics that determined cost of care on a sliding scale.

Best of luck in your move and welcome to Florida.
