Is this music big there? Or almost all hip-hop/top 40? I know Bill Hamel is from Tampa and he's done some big things. I don't expect it to be on Miami's level, but I would think it's there.

Does Tampa get international dj's on a regular basis? Van Dyk, Tiesto, AVB, Keoki, etc.

Any good Tampa nightlife websites? besides metromix preferably.

thanks

There's tons of great DJs from Tampa - Rabbit in the Moon being one of them. It's really great in Ybor.

I have not found good place for trance/house music in Tampa yet, nor i've seen any adds about tour dates. I think most of the world class guys are going to Miami only, maybe we don't have good promoter here.

Rabbit in the Moon/Bill Hamel. Those are two fairly big names. I'm sure there are more. I'm guessing its not the "international club circuit" you get in Miami every weekend, but Tiesto even goes to Kansas City. So Tampa's got to be ok.

I would prefer Miami if I could afford it. Live on Brickell one day. I'm also considering an "extended vacation" in Los Angeles...that's where I really want to go but it's just too expensive unless I rent a tiny room from someone.

nothing major but they do have good house/electro dj's here from time to time.
