Did anyone see the recent "House Hunters" (2011 new episode) with the family looking for a home in Tampa Bay? They were experiencing sticker shock with the home prices. The house they bought was in Beach Park not Davis Island. Both are located in the South Tampa area which is more expensive than rural areas.

Ya, I was shocked at the overall condition and look of the house they bought for $450K. It was a big house but not updated in about 30 yrs!

real estate agents want your point of contact info so they can bother you.....just from the looks of the exterior (curb appeal) it looks like $500k will get you a lot for your money......not sure what the house hunter stuff was all about.
