Well first off there is no Sligh Elementary only Sligh middle school so unless you were referring to the middle school the OP is not going to find it.

Secondly that area is not the best to live in so I wouldn't recommend anyone living there especially someone who has no idea what the area is like.

Third.. the statistics may not mean anything to you but they do mean a lot if you have young kids in school. They are rated a 3 out of 10 which is a pretty poor rating.

Finding a district is useless. You need to find the best specific schools and move to that area. Odds are one area will have the best elementary/middle/HS and also have high home prices.

On the whole Palm Harbor has very good schools from Pre-K through high school! Lived in Odessa/Westchase area and the schools were good there too!

I live near Hillsborough High, and aside from the building being incredible (it looks something like a gothic cathedral) I think the school is highly ranked... 44th in the country according to a link on the high school's website.

Here is the link with the ranking:

America's Best High Schools: The List - Newsweek

Memorial Middle is right across the street from Hillsborough High, but I don't know anything else about it.

I also see Plant High and something called the Center for Advanced Technology in St. Pete on the list.

The IB program for Hillsborough County is located there (for whatever reason). You take away those IB kids and that would be a D or F school considering the demographics it draws from.
