I just moved to Lutz, Florida. Could someone tell me approximately how long it takes to get to Tampa (downtown) during rush hour? How about Clearwater? St. Petersburg? I'm looking for employment and I would like to know what my commute will look like. Thanks so much!

Depends on the time and the day and if a accident or road work is going on..

I suggest to drive it a couple of times so you know the route and the time according to your findings since you already live here...due diligence

If you leave around 9ish you can fly on Sun Coast Pky and get downtown in 20 minutes from Van **** Rd in Lutz, so NOT the east side of Lutz! and it used to take me about 45 minute to St Pete at 10am/11am. Only once I found myself on it at 8am and got totally stuck on that bottleneck by Water's toll plaza, no accident, just ppl without change available I guess! LOL Took me an hour to get down on Armenia!

I just wanted to put things in perspective. If he/she doesn't have to be DT at 8am sharp, there's hope.
