( quote) entitlement complex that I find amusing.-- Oh!!! come work with me at the store, I part time in,,, they are all over honey, all over and especially at 10 pm and they walk in 3 minutes before we close and stay! and yes in Miami,,, the bling goes to outdo the bling,, but that's is only a part of what is down there. I can tell you there are alot of people working 2/ 3 jobs to feed their familes. Most people I knew had some job on the side, and everybody including my friends in NY were always going to some school or class. There is a little bit of everything everywhere!!

People have been more down to earth and less superficial in EVERY city I've visited in Florida then they are in Miami. (and I live in South Florida)

BMW, Benz, Porsche and Audi are seen at every stop light, and that's just during a daily commute. I won't even talk about the nightlife. That's on a whole other level. Shoot, even the soccer moms down here drives brand new Escalades. $50k SUVs, and most of them don't work, they drive around in their gym clothes. It's very common to see women over-dressed at local sporting events such as Miami Dolphins or Miami Hurricanes games. Heels, skirts, make-up, the whole nine....FOR A FOOTBALL GAME.

Now, what people drive or wear is none of my business, however I do believe that it is a reflection of the people that live in the city and their priorities/attitude. One thing about people in South Florida...their vanity oozes out of them through their cars, clothes, jewelry, plastic surgery and muscle shirts. LOL

You will never find another place with so many gyms, tanning salons and high-end car dealerships.

I can tell you that when my 7 yr old grandson died we had over 100 people showed up- (standing room at the church) from the block we lived in, to co workers,,, and just people we knew,,, and few had ever actually met the little man...you jest- I lived it... last week-a lady I know at my present job here died after 15 yrs working there- and only 3 came,,,-- NO NEVER compare! I am still sick over it- I do NOT want to die in Tampa. for sure.

That may be harsh but since the funeral last week... I am still upset, so I apologize- I also know that day comes not by appointment, so not much I can do about it. Also in reading back my post it was over 100 people not 1000...in any case I was very humbled of how many people came. Again not my intention to offend,,,

I didn't mean to make light of a death, I'm sorry about the child, and for the person that only had 3 people. LoL, that sucks.
