I asked this before, but, allow me to resubmit...where are the jobs that pay at least $50k? Any public school administrate jobs? Government jobs? Many of the jobs open at the big corporations are entry level or less than $40k. I see so many nice houses, $200k+ and wonder, where are the jobs supporting these huge houses? I am perplexed! Scan the newspapers? Not a good option.

But, on the other hand, with the recent report that median income is under $50k, perhaps it comes as no surprise that there is not an abundance of jobs that can actually support a family or ensure one has a comfortable retirement.

My degree is in Finance, not accounting nor medical field.

Thanks..

Have you searched.... any.... job sites? Monster? Indeed? USAJobs.gov? Not newspapers. Who still looks for white collar jobs in the paper? This isn't 1950.

Half those jobs are fake. Posted just to make it look like there are jobs available.

I'm sure some of them are, but I doubt half. Did you just pull that out of thin air?

No, not really, but for example most admin jobs are through temp agencies, and not a lot of people get jobs through those anymore....it is a known fact that those agencies post jobs that don't exist to make themselves look better. You should read more around that "work and employment" forum. These days is not about the degree as much as it is about "who you know"!

Yyyyeah thanks for the hot tip, lol.

It's always been more about who you know. That's not some industry secret.

I have always found that my network of friends and business contacts has been more productive than ads for jobs. But, maybe that's just me.

Regardless, using all the resources at your disposal is the smart thing to do. Never discount a possible source of work if you've not tried it.

You have the degree, but do you have much experience in your field?
There are several job openings sites. Search Indeed.com etc.
For info on government jobs each city, county and the state of FL have job boards to search.

This site will give you medians and history on income in Tampa

Fake job listings? Costly and unproductive for an employer to do so. Who are they trying to impress with fake job postings and why?
