Is there an effective way to trap and release squirrels? Maybe something I can buy. The are tearing through the insulation in my barn, eating the wires in my cars and defecating on cars pending paint work. I don't care to kill them, though my neighbor has offered to "off" them for me. What are my options?

Buy your neighbor a case of beer and let him have at the varmints.
Lets face it squirrels are just rats with fancy tails.

What part of the Tampa Bay area do you live in that you have a barn? I'm jealous!

A closed, but not sealed cardboard box lid with peanut butter on it. Stack something up (like books) so the squirrel can get onto the top and fall in when the lid which looks like ground to the squirrel gives way.

At least this is how I've caught escaped hamsters...

You can also just buy a non-injury trap online for $30 or so.

Yup, a Havahart trap + peanut butter will do the trick.
