My wife and I are moving to South Tampa but will need to rent for 6-12 months to give us enough time to find the right house.

We looked around the various rental complexes and were not impressed, especially after already owning our own home. I know this may be a long shot but I wanted to see if anyone on here has a small house or townhouse that may be available for rent starting around March. If you don't have one but know someone that may or have some good resources to search I would appreciate it.

We are 29 year old working professionals, I do IT security consulting for one of the Big 4 firms and my wife is a registered nurse. We do have 3 small dogs which is making things difficult. They are non-destructive and very calm (catlike and very lazy).

Thank you in advance for any information.

Mike Hooper is the owner and has multiple rental homes, condos, etc. He was a fantastic landlord and very responsive to issues...a rare thing these days!

We rented a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom old style South Tampa block home for 2 years with him/his company.

We also eventually got a pet and only had to pay a small deposit.

We moved for employment last January, I found our rental house on Craigslist. Two blocks from Bayshore and two blocks from YMCA. I tried a realtor but options were so scarce when we were looking (around Christmas) they had no options. When we came down ourselves we found nothing in the area. The home we are renting now was the first we had the option to veiw and the one I loved, after getting to know the area we plan on purchasing from out landlord. I see homes for sale in our neighborhood, some rentals but they are gone in a matter of days. Feel free to DM me, Ill take pictures and provide numbers of those I see available for rent.
