Can someone please help and let me know if it's safe? I don't want to move somewhere that would put my wife in more danger than we need to be.

Please someone help!

I'm not familiar with the exact street you're referring to, but we are moving to Wesley Chapel, which the east side butts up against Zephyrhills. I have heard lots of drug crime and larceny, but like another poster said, violent crime would be worse elsewhere... We lived in SE FL and I worried more there, even in a nice area (Boca) and wouldn't go out myself at night there to walk home from the market, but I feel much safer here.

Every neighborhood we have been through about 8/10 homes had security signs and stickers all over their houses, so I think most people tend toward taking precautions and that's a decent indicator that you should be prepared to protect your belongings. That doesn't mean you will be a victim of crime though. Most places these days you need to lock your car and home... Gone are the days in most communities that you can go away for the weekend and leave your house open, or leave your purse on your car seat overnight, that's just the way it is.

There are a lot of communities for retirees on Chancey Rd. and that seems like a quiet area- maybe check there?
