I think there are more CONS to moving here than PROs so I wouldn't move. I would find a new job that makes you happy and take a vacation to FL soon but stay there for your grandmother and get involved in a social group and be reminded that the grass isn't necessary greener. I have to remind myself of this often. Good luck to you.

Would ur specialists see u long distance? Many of mine treat patients that fly in from all over the country.....I'm in philly now. U would then need a primary care dr down there. Have u visited tampa?

Thank you to all that replied. I decided to decline the job at this time....timing just isn't right for me right now based on everything I had mentioned. I am certain there are very good doctors in Tampa, the issue is more about changing to a new one now. My other ones have known me for about 15 years at least, and have experienced my history. I'm not totally regretting the decision and I don't feel like, "omg what have I done" or anything. So I guess that's a good sign. I think I just need to see a therapist now. Someone had told me if I'm unhappy in Boston and it's not because of the environment, I'll be unhappy anywhere. That is true. I need to work on myself before I do anything drastic. Thanks again for the advice. I'm so glad I found this forum.
