Hi, I am moving to Clearwater in 3 weeks. I need to know what bank to choose. I have members 1st in PA, which is a credit union. Any top banks would be appreciated. Thanks!

I think I've been inside 'my' bank twice in the past 10 years.

We like BOA for its bill-pay and e-bill ease of use as we pay all our bills that way. BOA was very helpful when I had some ATM problems when making w/d's out-of-the-country.

They were also very fast/helpful with wire transfers when we bought and sold 3 houses (including one in Mexico) over the past 5 years.

I guess it depends on what your needs are.

With my wife already living in Tampa and me still in Buffalo until the relocation is complete we needed a bank we could both use.

So we switched everything to BOA, been working out great.

Yep, that's the key. What services are you looking for?

Hi, I am from South Jersey and I use TD Bank, it was easy to transfer everything over. But we have a lot of Wells Fargo and BOA Banks, they seem to be a way to go. Watch the smaller banks here they nickel and dime you to death. LOL for sure, remember Publix atm doesn't charge fee so good to know. There is one bank here that charges you 3.00 and another 3.50 on top of that ouch $ 6.50.

I have chase and I am happy with them. I have tried other small banks in the past and their fees were ridiculous (one even charging you every time you used your ATM (GTE))..

I am still using my credit union from PA where I've had an account for decades. I've been here 2.5 years.

Between ATM's I can use for free and online banking, I see no need to change anything. It depends what you think you'll need from a "local" bank, as others have said.
