I have always loved the holiday season, but now I do not have to dread the doom & gloom weather that always came with and after the season. A win win.
I was just at Citrus Park Mall yesterday. Passed by the Hallmark. I can assure you, Christmas decorations are in stores now.

At about 36N southward I get sunburn much too fast without constant sunscreen all the time, not worth the constant misery. Oh yeah, I was going to say something about that in my post to the OP. When they come to visit, please do not think of your time before burning as the same in Florida. I have seen so many tourists badly burnt because where they come from it takes them an hour to burn. In Florida, it can take less than 10 minutes for some. To anyone who visits, please, slather on that sunscreen before you go out, no matter what.

The gumbo limbo tree, we call it the tourist tree. Why? Because it peels like a burnt tourist.

These little quirky sayings you hear may be entertaining, but they are also rooted (no pun intended) in truth.

Whats the difference between being indoors all day with a heater on and being in doors all day with the A/C on?

Because only the sick and feeble actually stay indoors all day with the a/c on. Most people set their thermostats for the temperature that is comfortable and it stays that way until the weather changes. Anyone who has an a/c that runs all the time has other problems like poor insulation, windows that need caulking and doors that do not fit right. Just like anywhere else people in hot climates go about their daily business. However, in winter we dont have to deal with "bundling up" to make a trip outdoors feasible.

I find it silly arguing whether the 4 to 6 month hot and muggy weather is better or not to 4 to 6 month ass freezing cold. Pick your poison.

I am not sick or feeble, but I do spend all day indoors with the a/c on. I cannot abide the heat and humidity, but my husband loves it, so I patiently wait for cooler weather, while he enjoys the heat.

Obviously your husband controls you. Poor relationship. Relocation needs to be a joint decision.
Your problem.

To me, compromise in a relationship is going with anothers choice of towel color. Compromise is not living life in unbearable conditions.
