Relocating near a lake (Tampa, Dunedin: houses, neighborhood, school districts)

I have been living in the Tampa Bay area for 4 years now and I'm interested in relocating to a new area.

I've been looking at houses on Lake Tarpon but I'm open to other areas. I want a house on a lake that I can boat and fish from. I prefer a larger lake with a "lake community". I like Lake Tarpon because of its size and proximity to Tarpon Springs and Dunedin.

Anybody know of other lakes in the area that I should be looking at? Looking to spend under $300K. No kids so school districts are not important. I'm looking for a smaller place between 1300-1700 sqft and I love old houses.

Recommend you start searching on zillow and talk to an agent who can help you
there is so much to choose from and your price point is not out of tune with some of the property available.

Check Lucaya Lake Club in Riverview. They have a huge boatable lake.

Lake Padgett in Land O Lakes. I live in the neighborhood and love it. 3 community ski lakes and plenty of houses on the lakes themselves.
