So we are finally fed up with this. We live off 54 and Waste Aid comes through our neighborhood starting anywhere around 2 AM but not after 3 AM. Isn't this against Pasco County city ordinance? We have babies that are sleeping and I am sure that everyone else has kids, dogs and themselves that would like to get some sleep.

Anyone else have this problem? I wasn't able to gather the specific noise ordinance times but maybe someone else here will have that handy.

thoughts? thanks!

I know it's not possible to generate this sort of "noise nuisance" in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. I assume that Hillsborough has passed similar noise nuisance regulation. I can't tell you about Pasco....but I can't IMAGINE that Pasco is that far our of the mainstream, or low on the curve.

Most counties in 2016 in Florida regulate times for construction noise, music volume etc, in extreme detail. I think in Sarasota county and Manatee this sort of noise can't occur before 6a or 7a I believe...but this sort of noise at 2:30a or 3a is plainly outrageous IMHO....I would COMPLAIN.

In my immediate neighborhood, refuse and recycling LOUD trucks come around at about 630a ot just at 7a, NO EARLIER ever. The worst thing I've heard within the subdivision is a neighbor who has an everyday compulsion to tinkering with vehicles, sawing, hammering etc before 7a, and we complained to the county and they intervened and resolved the matter.
We had a problem with a hired Mexican landscaper who would fire up his very very loud mowers, blowers and edgers before 7a...we got that stopped too.

Residential ordinances are different that commercial areas. Research the ordinances, surely there must exist some rules and regulations even within your HOA...the HOA maybe stricter that your county ! complain to the HOA

I just saw a news investigative report about this same complaint in Hillsborough and it was determined that there is a noise ordinance applicable to trash pick up within 500ft of residential that cannot be done before 6am. Reports to police was ignored until they were shown the laws by the news reporter and now they can fine the trash companies if they don't comply.

A quick search on Pasco comes up with this - http://www.pascocountyfl.net/Documen...Home/View/3726.
I'm no legal doc expert but seems like there's noise ordinance applicable to "commercial" and "impulse noise" at least til 7:00am.

I'd be the first to complain about noise at night for sure, I need my sleep. Maybe you can run this by the companies and also register a complaint to local enforcement. Good luck.

In the communities we lived in they came between 4-5 am and they do make a lot of noise and of course it depends how sound proof your windows are to the amount of sound you will hear.

I did file a complaint to Waste Aid once as one of their truck drivers had the speakers of his radio on at that time which of course added to the already loud sound of the truck. The office responded quick to stop that additional noise.
