Pros for me - weather, water, history, culture, big city amenities on a smaller scale in a smaller city, airport, sports, festivals, closeness to St. Pete and Sarsota area amenities.

The "twin cities" feel of Tampa/St. Pete is fantastic. Tampa has the latin influence, nightlife, 2/3 of the sports, and the main University (USF). St. Pete has what you can remember as BBC, or Beaches, Baseball, and Culture.

TampaKaren--have you tried Laughing Cat Italian Restaurant in Ybor City or Celiini's in the Ballast Point area of South Tampa? These are by far some of the best Italian iv'e had in Tampa(native New Yorker who's grandparetns are striaght off the boat from Italy)....
