Exactly; in fact Tampa does not roll of the tongue of anyone in America when thinking of big cities and all that go with them. It is what it is and that is enough. If it is not enough go somewhere else that has the amenities that Tampa will never have.

Well, we're not talking about Tampa Bay... We're talking about Tampa. And this (one) city needs mass transit.

I'm not saying it doesn't, but I don't see it happening until there is a highly concentrated job core. So basically, never.

A transit line between Westshore and Downtown alone would do wonders. Have another rail that circles the city and we'll have a decent start.
