We are looking to replace all of our blinds in our home. We have about 25 windows.

Are there any professional blind installers that provide whole house package? as in removing existing ones, measuring them, ordering new ones and installing them.

I got a quote for $1800 for about 25 windows and I priced them in the ballpark to be about $900 more or less at Lowes. Wondering if this number($1800) is higher or lower or if there are other installers that I need to get quote from?

Anyone use a pro to install all of your blinds?

Are you talking about just the regular type mini-blinds?

I've never hired someone to install blinds but Home Depot or Lowes might provide that service.

I've measured and ordered blinds off of the internet and installed them myself and had no problems with fit or quality. And even if I measure incorrectly they'll replace the blind/s. It's not difficult to do once the blinds are received.

I plan on doing this myself. I had to remove/replace all of our blinds when we painted the house. It wasn't a big deal. Some of them are kinda beat, so replacing some/all of them is on the to-do list.

Yeah it definitely isn't difficult to do but online and do yourself. Probably save 1/3 or 1/2 of the lowes HD pricing. But I couldn't see a contractor not needing to make $500-1000 to come in and do the work for you.

If not a D.I.Y. job then maybe a couple hour job for a handyman.

Yeah didn't really think of a handyman. Being a contractor myself, I always think of how much it costs for overhead, and how much I would need to make for it to be worth while.

Agree with checking on handyman. Had neighbor hang 3 ceiling fans recently. Home Depot wanted $100/fan, she found local handyman who charged $135 for all three fans and did a great job. I know it's not apples to apples comparison but does show the level of markup with using Home Depot vs. handyman.

FYI - look for app NextDoor (social media style), easy to find recommendations from neighbors including handyman services (most who are going to be neighbors in your community or surrounding community. They also have website too.
