I believe there is a waiting list for Section 8 housing. The other thing is if you would even qualify. Welcome to Tampa Housing Authority

There are ways to reduce your expenses for food such as SHARE Florida Food Network

TECO offers a plan where your electric bill is avg so it stays the same for a year.

Hope this helps

Smile Keeper

TECO and every other utility in the country averages only after a year's experience in the same home. it's the only way they know how much YOU spend including the heat/cool costs for that unit.

Default yes

just get an Apartment Guide or For Rent magazine at Publix, free in the foyer. They tell you at the bottom of the ad usually if they are income restricted. They won't be on Craig's list or in the paper. They are NOT Sect. 8. you pay the full rent but it is based on income/family size and if you qualify you are responsible for the full amount every month. They are usually pretty big and fairly nice. If it's just you and DH, you will get a 2br cause that's the smallest they usually have going up to maybe 3-4 br's.
