I just moved to Safety Harbor and commute to the USF area. It takes me anywhere from 45 mins to 1.5 hours. I'm fine with it because I really like Safety Harbor and wasn't really interested in living in Tampa... But, I only have to do it 10 days a month. I don't think I could do it 5x a week...

I guess it depends on your level of tolerance and patience, and your motivation to live in one of those 3 places.

That seems like the normal time from your area. Anyone that thinks it takes 17 mins from Danashores to USF has just never taken the drive to find out. I can't even make it to Malfunt Junk in down town in 17 mins from Danashore.

Leaving at 9:00 am, it takes, at most, ten minutes to get to TIA. 3.5 miles. That takes, at most, about 2.5 minutes a mile.
When did he ever say it takes 17 min?

Around the time I physically lifted the border of Tampa and moved it where I wanted it to make someone look stupid.

I commuted from Riverview / Fishhawk to downtown by U of Tampa for five years. 20 miles. 45-60min in the morning, over an hour at night. And I thanked whomever that I didn't have to slog up to New Tampa, or over those bridges out to the St. Pete side of things. At midnight? 25 minutes. At rush hour? Total suck.
