I see some people commenting on posts that are years old, and the OP has long since disappeared (pretty useless to respond if it's someone wanting advice). How would I re-sort posts chronologically by the OP, since it doesn't tell you on the main page when he/she originally posted?

Sort of, but not the way i think you're asking about.

Here is an explanation of the settings you can change on how threads are shown to you:

After a quick read, I'm not sure that "zombie posts" like the recent ones we're seeing wouldn't show up anyway, as they're current or "new" posts.

I do love how newbies will come in and start spamming all of the ancient posts without paying attention to their age....especially the realtors who think they've discovered a new source for customers.

Should be easy for Mods to set-up the forum to prevent that. I managed several forums in the past and each had an option to restrict new posts after xx days.
