Hi everyone,

Planning to relocate this upcoming June for residency and narrowed down my housing search to either Trinity (looking at Trinity Club especially) or Westchase. Other then Westchase being closer to the downtown Tampa area, are there any major differences between the two?

Im 30 year old male professional looking for a newer/upscale apartment in a preferably more suburban/urban environment (rent~1200) with a dating scene and nearby stores/restaurants.

I'm guessing Westchase would most likely check more boxes for me but I'm just curious as to how the vibe at Trinity is also since I've read about the rapid expansion happening in the area. Both are about the same distance to the hospital (Westchase is about an extra 10 minutes as per google) so the commute isn't really an issue too. Thanks for all the kind input. It is very much appreciated

My impression of the two areas makes me lean towards Westchase for you. Trinity is nice, up and coming, but not there yet. Westchase is more established with I feel, a younger crowd. And yes, it is closer to downtown. However, not sure if your price target works.

Just 10 years ago Trinity was ranches and cows and tractor equipment and cement plants. Now, many of the cows are gone (not all) and it's a little more interesting, but looks like any other Exurbia in America: new homes, apartments, shopping centers. If you are looking for a "suburban/urban environment" then Westchase (15 miles from downtown Tampa) is the correct choice. Westchase is older and more established and more interesting. There are no cows or ranches (that I know of) in Westchase. Trinity (30 miles from downtown Tampa) is your typical American exurb that is fast growing (but not yet established), which could literally be located anywhere in America. Just miles and miles of subdivisions, traffic and chain retail. At least Westchase has a little downtown area that is walkable and is closer to more urban areas. Since you are moving from NYC I think Westchase will also be less of a shock for you. I think moving from NYC to Trinity is like moving from NYC to the middle of nowhere. Some people like living in the middle of nowhere, but most of those people are old.
