I am looking for a vacation home for my family and will be looking at the Bahia Lakes community in Tampa this weekend that is being built by Standard Pacific Homes. Per that, a couple of questions;

1) Any opinions on Standard Pacific as a builder?

2) What does the location within this community and around this community look like? (i.e. is it close to things, is it in the middle of no where?)

3) Are there lakes in the community (we are seeking a lake front lot)

4) "Other" - Seeking any general information about the area, the builder and/or the specific community that you may have

Please reply to me through private message, and thank you very much in advance.

My favorite home I saw in that area was Standard Pacific homes. I however dont have children and the thought of CDD and maintance fees are very high, and the pools and basketball courts and all those wonderful kid playgrounds arent really want I want to pay for. The lots at bahia for standard pacific werent the choice ones. Ryland has the large lake choice lots, my goodness the view on those homes are incredible. I actually liked their homes so much I am going to look in another area that has a smaller development and less fees. Rylands homes were huge and I didnt want a home that large to care for since we're only two here. The standard pacific were smaller homes but well used space and the upgrade costs were reasonable except maybe a pool, (the starting pool package with screenedcage was 31,000 no heat or extras)
