Anyone know of any mountain biking around St Pete's I'm going to be down there next week and figured I would check out some trails, but it's quite a bit of city.

Are you talking about REAL mountain biking or URBAN mountain biking? There are a lot of paved trails and areas to ride, especially the Pinellas Trail.
As for REAL (for Florida) biking, you have to travel a bit out of the area- Alafia River Park has one of the best trails around, with rides for all different levels of riders. You can also head further north to Morris Bridge Wilderness Park (which I think is off I75 and Fletcher). That's all I know of in the area.
Check out this site:

Hope it helps.

Morris Bridge Bicycle Area/Flatwoods

When I lived in Tampa, this is where I would go..it is out by USF in east Tampa.

Mountain Biking Wilderness Park, Trout Creek, Flatwoods and Morris Bridge in Tampa, Florida

I had to chuckle when I read the thread title...there are no mountains here!!! Ha, lol! As others suggested, Wilderness Park (near USF) is probably the most rugged with the second being Lake Park in Lutz. Neither are anywhere close to St. Pete. The only place in St. Pete I can think of is the Pinellas Trail, which is flat and concrete.

I guess I forgot to call it "mountain" biking, haha, I'm looking for some single track. I'll check out the links above, thanks everyone.

Singletrack and the best riding close to you- Alafia River Park BY FAR. You'll be pretty happy with it. Some ups and downs, jumps and technical riding. If you're up for a weekend ride and don't mind driving up into Ocala, Santos MTB park up there. I'd say those two are your best bets. Period. The others will likely be disappointing to you.
I am planning on taking a trip back west next year to Moab, Grand Junction, and Arizona/Flagstaff for a serious mountain bike excursion. That's where the true riding is- I can't wait.

that's awesome, so far everything points at Alafia River Park which I plan to go too for sure. I can only imagine what it's like elsewhere, I've only biked in Michigan and we have many trails and all fairly close.
